Hi there! Short on time today, but I just wanted to give you the heads up on a publisher called OOO Gross Mauntin.
This is how it looks when double-clicking on the file and OOO Gross Mauntin appears as the publisher. You can also see the OOO Gross Mauntin certificate by looking under the Digital Signature tab on the file’s properties. According to the certificate, OOO Gross Mauntin is located in Moscow in Russia.
The issue here is that if adobe_flash_setup.exe really was the official installer file for Adobe Flash Player, it should have been digitally signed by Adobe Systems Incorporated and not by some unknown company.
Currently, the detection rate is 4/56. ADWARE/InstallCore.Gen7, Trojan.InstallCore.23 and a variant of Win32/InstallCore.QF were the detection names.
Since you probably came here after finding a file that was digitally signed by OOO Gross Mauntin, please share what kind of download it was and if it was detected by the anti-virus progams at VirusTotal.
I found this download from the newupdate24.com site.
Thank you for reading.
