I you see  the 68.180.228.165 IP address in your web server log, you have most likely had a visit from Yahoo’s Slurp web spider. If you examine the User-Agent field in your Apache access.log file it should say:

“Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Yahoo! Slurp; http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/slurp)”

which is the string Yahoo’s crawler robot use to identify itself.

According to the various sites that offer geo-locationsfor ip-addressed, the 68.180.228.165 server is located in Sunnyvale, California, United States.

That’s where Yahoo is headquartered.
