Hello readers! Just wanted to give you heads-up on interesting file I found right now. The file is named MixVideoPlayer.exe and signed by File Setup LCC.

The following screenshot shows the User Account Control dialog when running the File Setup LCC file:

To get more details on the publisher, you can view the certificate by right-clicking on the file, and looking under the Digital Signatures tab. According to the certificate we can see that File Setup LCC is located in Wilmington, Delaware, US and that the certificate is issued by COMODO RSA Code Signing CA.

The detection rate is 12/57, that is 21%. Win32:Dropper-gen [Drp], PUA/Softpulse.Gen, Win.Adware.MultiPlug-31138, Gen:Variant.Graftor.177754, PUP.Optional.SoftPulse and Trojan.Win32.Generic!BT were the detection names.

When I tested the File Setup LCC file it installed SpeedUpMyPC and MyPC Backup.
