Hello there and welcome to the FreeFixer blog. Today I wanted to talk about a called MixVideoPlayer and give you some removal instructions.
If MixVideoPlayer is running on your computer, you will notice MixVideoPlayer.exe running in the Windows Task Manager and a new service installed called mixvideoplayerupdaterservice.exe.
I’ll show how to remove MixVideoPlayer in this blog post with the FreeFixer removal tool.
As always when I run into some new software I uploaded it to VirusTotal to verify if the antimalware scanners there detect something suspicious. 3 of the anti-malware scanners detected the file. The MixVideoPlayer files are detected as Hacktool.MSIL.Confuser.J by Baidu-International, a variant of MSIL/Packed.Confuser.J suspicious by ESET-NOD32 and PUP.Optional.MixVideoPlayer.A by Malwarebytes.
You can remove MixVideoPlayer with the FreeFixer removal tool. Here’s a few screenshots that should help you along the way: You may have to restart your computer to complete the removal.
Hope that helped you with the removal.
Do you also have MixVideoPlayer on your machine? Any idea how it installed? Please let me and the readers know by posting a comments. Thank you very much!
