I let Microsoft have remote access of my Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 Laptop. My machine had been taken down by a forced install of Windows 10, (Yes, I know everyone says it cannot happen) with the installation failing. I have been it touch with Microsoft so many times it is to the point that every person, in every third world country knows the sound of my voice. I have never been talked to like these people talk to me, from one agent telling me to shut-up that I was not allowed to speak, to one asking me to perform sexual acts on him. I always believed everyone had a right to work, but at this point I despise the very thought of outsourcing. To get back on track several agents worked on my computer, all level two, none knowing what they were doing. I work at a University and have seen 1st year Comp. Science Maj. know 10 times what these people know. The worst was the last Upper?? level 2 named J*ff$%son. He keep telling me over and over to get up up walk walk around some, I could even take a nap! One thing is they are not allowed to do that, when they have remote access of your machine you have to be there every minute,so why was this guy trying so hard to get me to walk away and not see what he was doing?? After he finished, the updates did start, after 3 clean installs, new product key code and a new installation of windows from Microsoft I though maybe it was fixed. This has been going on since June 3. Sometimes been on the phone with them as long as 10 hours a day, I would get "disconnected" and have to start all over again. The really bad thing is everyone wanted my case number.I was never given a case number, so then I asked for one. "Oh, I can't give you one, ask for one from the next agent." I knew that meant 3 things were going to happen. 1. I would be listening to 30 minutes of the continuous BS on Windows 10. 2. I would spent an hour explaining the problem all over, because they DO NOT take notes,"oh you are having a problem with your password" 3 there was a 90% chance after doing 1 & 2 I would be "cut off" again. My life has been a living nightmare because of Microsoft. I will never ever buy another product from them again. I am sorry about the long message, however it all comes down to what they did to my computer during that remote access. It is no longer my computer, I am no longer the administrator, oh yes it does does say that under mt name when I boot up. But that is the first and only time you will see that word. I have absolutely no rights at all. I am unable to delete a program, I installed the antivirus and MR. Level 2 said I should not use it, I needed Windows Security, well someone should run a survey on how many machines have been screwed over with that waste of CPU piece of crap. The new antivirus could not even remove the the trail version of Norton that can pre-installed on the machine. I have never seen that happen in years and years of doing system recoveries. I have found so many things that they have done to my computer, I guess they did not think I would look, This Server 2008 R2 is misconfigured, next they had 3 sets of system files in different places. When I tried on my oen to clean up some of this mess, they would take remote access and just replace the files they wanted. I do not see how this is legal, I never agreed to this. I have worked in a computer lab for the last 5+ years and I capable of doing all my own updates and running scans when needed. I do not want or need their help in this or any other matter, except the one being that they destroyed. I have been deleting files at my own will when I am able, yes I found the secret to do that however it only works sometimes. They just replace them in another hidden spot, and I am not speaking of "hidden files and folders". The last ones being hidden under the Bing Bar install folder. I disabled it several time, only to go back to see it running again. So I deleted it from my pc altogether. So I will spend the day looking for the next place, and yes I will soon be buying a Mac!! I just had surgery so that has put a damper on my finances for awhile longer than expected. Then yesterday I noticed in the taskbar under customize, a new item the one you talk about CLUupdate Application. As normal I am not given the option I read about, the one of clicking the blue circle with the white arrow and hit uninstall I can click away and nothing happens. Not to any great surprise but if I click the box Always show...none of the strange ones show up on the taskbar. Please if you have any comments or suggestions right now I am up for anything, other than Microsoft and their remote access. I will do mt best to warn every student I work with the dangers of dealing with someone in another country.

@Maggie: I think CLUpdater.exe is an applications that updates the "CyberLink Power2Go 8" software. Power2Go is a program that allows the user to burn/copy DVD and BlueRay discs.
