I use PC Tools Spyware Dr w/antivirus for over a yr now. I download a lot of various tools so I'm well aware what's in my start up folder in the SCU - Recently I downloaded their Registry Mechanic wanting to check it out. Well every day it seems it wants to run itself to try and get me to buy the product, showing me how many errors I have. I don't like this kind of intrusion, once is enough for me and that is if I'm asking. I believe it's the Fguard.exe that is doing it. I have since uninstalled the trial and unchecked the startup file. As much as I like PC Tools Spyware Dr. I believe I'm going to look for something else as it is a memory hog and does stuff without my asking (like switching to game mode for stealth protection). That would be fine if I chose it to but I didn't, I don't play games and I'm getting tired of telling it what sites are OK for me and unchecking the stupid option, how many times do I have to tell it??!!! - thought I'd pass it along

I think FGuard.exe may be responsible for sendind Wuauclt.exe and msMpEng.exe a little mad... Removed PCTool and replaced with MS. Log drawn out memory and processor hungry sessions reviewing updates and possibly conflicts with the MS Antimalware. Don't take thi as gospel as most of the enties regarding ths are several years old
