McAfee for AOL was just uninstalled and reinstalled by AOL Tech-Support. Since then, I get a notification immediately upon opening the computer that "real upgrade launcher stopped working", that "MSVCR100.DLL was not found" and that reinstallation might fix the problem. Error 7.

Does that mean to reinstall real upgrade or MSVCR? If the latter, what do you know about that and where to find it?

Yesterday AOL refused to help me. What should I do? This page seems to indicate that there is no incompatibility with antivirus programs so it would seem prudent to reinstall. I would appreciate an email reply at your earliest convenience and thank you in advance.

@Carolyn: Are you using the software from RealNetworks? If not, you can uninstall it from the Windows Control Panel. That should stop the "Real Upgrade launcher stopped working. MSVCR100.DLL was not found" error message.

If you are using the RealNetwork software, try to uninstall it a install it again. That should also solve the problem.
