Apparently Wajam was installed together with something else. After a few days I had problems with Dropbox, reporting that my date and/or time was incorrect. And microsoft-outlook could not connect with the exchange-server anymore. Now after looking in the processes detecting this file and uninstalling Wajam, everything seems to be Ok again.

This Program will force all traffic thru it own proxy server, running on the local machine.

I came across "WajamInternetEnhancerService.exe" pre installed on a brand new HP Laptop.

The service will look at your browsing data and then place targeted ads in on the webpages the proxy server returns to you.

Browser > Wajam (Proxy) > Web > Wajam (Proxy) > Browser (Targeted ads)

@Will: Interesting that it was pre-installed. Did you check the file creation date to see when it was added to your computer?
