Thanks for the helpful info. After many hours of trying to fix (replace) the amdkmafd.sys file, alas I also tried to download the driver from AMD and allow AMD's detective to find the right version. Evidently, the age of my PC excludes the detective from doing its job, so I will have to live with the error. That said, I am so very grateful for the useful info your website provides. I have seen this AMD event stuff activate and then it results in slow down of the System Interrupts variety. I did "end task" on it many times, with no apparent loss of function. I regard this program that it does more for someone else, than if does for me. I am removing it.
