I've been using Advanced SystemCare for years, and all of a sudden Windows Defender just popped up and said I have Win32/Hadsruda!bit. When I clicked for more information, it showed me a list of files in

Program Files (x86)\IObit\Advanced SystemCare\

including

cpuidsdk.dll
DiskMap.dll
DiskScan.dll
FfSweep.dll
Homepage.Svc.dll
InfoHelp.dll
NtfsData.dll
repair task.exe
ReProcess.exe
SysRest.dll

This makes no sense to me. I run MalwareBytes every once in a while (maybe even just a few days ago), and I ran AdAware just a few days ago.

I'm going to allow it, but I'm really afraid I'm making the wrong choice.

I've been getting the same thing as Maureen on two PCs for the past couple of days - both of which have Advanced System Care. Just now Defender said Hadsruda!bit was associated with cpuidsdk.dll. I don't know whether to be concerned or not... or what.

I wrote it up on the Microsoft Community, and got a few responses. Some people bash ASC, and only one guy bashes Defender, but I'm going with that guy. Someone else said they contacted ASC with the info. I was really annoyed because I thought I was very clear that I wanted to know why it was being reported and had no interest in removing it, yet people responded with how to remove it. Here's my post in case you want to follow it:

Thanks for passing that on. Yeah, I'm with you and the guy questioning the reliability of Defender.
