This comes with TurboUSB that comes along with some external USB hard drives. You install it from a disk you get with the drive because the makers say it helps the drive communicate with the PC at 480mbs although I am not sure if it will help any as USB 2.0 runs at that speed anyway and if you plug in the drive to an older USB port TurboUSB is not going to help any as USB 1 runs at 12mbs and no program is going to make data go through the port any faster. There is no harm having the program running, and whether it helps with speed just try a few tests of transferring data from the external drive to your PC, once with TurboUSB and once without it to see if there is any difference. Report back any results.
