I have an Acer 3000 laptop. It won't boot past the XP screen. Keeps rebooting. In safe mode the last driver is hotcore3.sys. I had the paragon software earlier. Any way, will your software boot the system,so I can try to get rid of this? I have tried the recovery disks that came with it, but it only goes to insert disk 1 of the recovery disks.Maybe you can give me something else to try. TNX for your time

Hello Jim,

My recommendation for boot problems is usually to try to boot in safe mode or use the installation disk for the operating system that usually has a recovery console where you can rename the file that causes the boot problem. Since you already tried the recovery disks that came with your laptop and it did not work, you might want to try UBCD4Win which allows you to create a bootable CD.
