This file is the source of several blue screens for me as well. After examining my dump files and the recalling the events leading up to my blue screenings, I realized that only when I was connected to a LAN did this happen. HotSpotShield is intended for use with wireless connections only. It works great for me for it's intended purpose. If you're using more complicated network setups, then you need to use a more complicated tool.

This driver seems to cause BLUE SCREENS, thanks to the program "WhoCrashed" for information on this bad driver. It is not a virus, just very poorly programmed.

I downloaded Hotspot Shield a couple of days ago,The download was a success but it stated that I didn't have the (hssdrv6.sys on my computer) But it installed any way. Only to visualize that it made my PC run very, very slow and when I got on U-tube to download movies IT was like a ice storm, all the movies froze. After that google chrome intercede of a webpage about streaming videos on u-tube, I believe that this hotspot program was to strong for my computer so I took it off my computer and my PC was like it was before without hotspot shield. It ran fast again. I would like to know more about hotspot shield? I'm using Frontier.com as a internet provider.Thank-You.......
