My KMO.EXE was in a similar place of a bit different size, 225kb on explorer. It was a nasty malware, did not appear to corrupt any data, however it altered the registry. Its caused any program that got launched to launch KMO instead which put up a bunch of nasty warnings indicating my pc was infected, it looked very legitimate, the display windows made it look like I needed to activate the software, like it wanted me to buy something. After deleting the file, not programs would launch. I had some windows explorer screens open, so I was able to make a copy of c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe and called it cmd.com. I was able to launch cmd.com from the task manager file pull down ... new task (run)...., which allowed me to get a dos prompt open, where I was able to launch regedit.exe, subsequently I then had to change a bunch of of registry keys to stop the launching of kmo. Primary key that was changed was
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command back to its default of "%1" %*. I then scanned the rest of the registry for kmo, and changed all other keys back to the same default, also remove kmo.exe registry entries.
