I have been having a problem with the fan on my lap top running all the time, even when I just turned it on. I looked into this today and a file called lxdx_device was running upon start up. It had to do with my Lexmark printer. Anyways, it was using 55 to 60 cpu! I put this on manual mode and as soon as I did that, my fan turned off and is working normal now. I am not sure exactly was the purpose of the lxdx_device is I just know it is located in the lxdxcoms.exe file for my lexmark printer.
