I have used Malwarebytes for some time but only recently have I discovered that mbamdor is trying to run at start-up. As Malwarebytes has worked well in the past without this .exe file running at start-up, I chose to stop it running. If it turns out to be a useful component of Malwarebytes, I will enable it to run but, at the moment, I am unsure as to what its purpose is.

As a follow up:- the file mbamdor attempted to run at startup following the detection of a "potentially unwanted program" (PUP) by Malwarebytes. Preventing it from running at startup appeared to also prevent the PUP being removed. It could be that this file is required to enable removal of certain PUPs. Under startup files it is listed as being of the "runonce" type.
