Hi Roger,

you might like to update your website with this, from my manuals:-

mseinstall.exe

Is Microsoft Security Essentials a free* download from Microsoft that is simple to install, easy to use, and always kept up to date so you can be assured your PC is protected by the latest technology. Its easy to tell if your PC is secure when youre green, youre good. Its that simple.

Microsoft Security Essentials runs quietly and efficiently in the background so youre free to use your Windows-based PC the way you wantwithout interruptions or long computer wait times.

*Your PC must run genuine Windows to install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommendations

mseinstall.exe = Microsoft Security Essentials does not have a good reputation, and runs in the background, consuming resources.

WGA continually runs in the background, checking your windows licence is valid, then reporting back to Microsoft, also consuming resources.

I would strongly advise not to install either program. If you have, use Revo Uninstaller to efficiently remove Microsoft Security Essentials, and RemoveWGA.exe for WGA.

Regards Bil3

my Acer laptop was running fine for several months.
then one day it started to become very very slow.
i tried all usual tricks, incl virus detection, ccleaner, registry error correction, defrag hard disk, and more. nothing helped. then i uninstalled MS Security Essentials. Bingo! Computer running normal speed.
