1E Limited Publisher Overview

Did you just download a file that is digitally signed by 1E Limited and wonder if the file is safe? If that's the case, please read on.

You will probably notice 1E Limited when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name shows up as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view additional details from the 1E Limited certificate with the following procedure:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the 1E Limited file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

Here is a screenshot of a file that has been signed by 1E Limited:

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This means that the file has been published by 1E Limited and that no one has tampered with the file.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above, you can see all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, etc. You can also examine the address for 1E Limited, such as the street name, city and country.

Thawte Code Signing CA has issued the 1E Limited certificates. You can also view the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.

1E Limited Files

The following are the 1E Limited files I have collected, thanks to the FreeFixer users.Unfortunately I don't have any scan result from VirusTotal available for the 1E Limited files at the moment. The scan results will appear here as soon as a FreeFixer user uploads a file digitally signed by 1E Limited.
