Awesome Apps - 20% Detection Rate *

Did you just find a download or a file on your computer that has a digital signature from Awesome Apps? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as GamePlayLabs (v) and a variant of Win32/Toolbar.CrossRider.A. The detection rate for the Awesome Apps files collected here is 20%. You'll typically see Awesome Apps when clicking to run the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view the digital signature details for Awesome Apps with the following procedure:

  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, the Windows OS reports that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Awesome Apps and that the file has not been tampered with.
