MySearchDial - 4% Detection Rate *

Did you just find a download or a file on your computer that has been digitally signed by MySearchDial? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as PUP.Optional.MySearchDial.A and a variant of Win32/Toolbar.Escort.A. The detection rate for the MySearchDial files collected here is 4%. Please read on for more details.

You'll typically see MySearchDial when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view additional details from the MySearchDial certificate with the following steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the MySearchDial file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by MySearchDial and that no one has tampered with the file.

You can also view the address for MySearchDial, such as the street name, city and country.
