P4hostcom - 9% Detection Rate *

Did you just run into a download or a file on your computer that has been digitally signed by P4hostcom? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Adware.Agent.PMV and Adware.Superfish.217. The detection rate for the P4hostcom files collected here is 9%. You'll probably notice P4hostcom when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name is then displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view the additional details from the P4hostcom digital signature with the following procedure:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and locate the P4hostcom file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button
