Quick Downloader - 18% Detection Rate *

Did you just find a download or a file on your computer that has a digital signature from Quick Downloader? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Unwanted-Program ( 004ae64d1 ) and InstallCore (fs). The detection rate for the Quick Downloader files collected here is 18%. You will probably see Quick Downloader when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can also view the Quick Downloader certificate with the following procedure:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the Quick Downloader file
  2. Right-click on the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click on the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows states that "This digital signature is OK". This implies that the file has been published by Quick Downloader and that the file has not been tampered with.

You can also examine the address for Quick Downloader, such as the street name, city and country.
