Unique Solutions - 25% Detection Rate *

Did you just stumble upon a download or a file on your computer that has been digitally signed by Unique Solutions? Some of the security products refers to the detected files as Adware.Yontoo.93 and PUP.Optional.PullUpdate.A. The detection rate for the Unique Solutions files collected here is 25%. Please read on for more details.

You will probably notice Unique Solutions when double-clicking to run the file. The publisher name is displayed as the "Verified publisher" in the UAC dialog as the screenshot shows:

You can view the additional details from the Unique Solutions digital signature with the following steps:

  1. Open up Windows Explorer and locate the Unique Solutions file
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties
  3. Click on the Digital Signatures tab
  4. Click the View Certificate button

As you can see in the screencap above, Windows reports that "This digital signature is OK". This means that the file has been published by Unique Solutions and that no one has tampered with the file.

If you click the View Certificate button shown in the screencap above, you can see all the details of the certificate, such as when it was issued, who issued the certificate, how long it is valid, and so on. You can also view the address for Unique Solutions, such as the street name, city and country.

Symantec Class 3 SHA256 Code Signing CA has issued the Unique Solutions certificates. You can also view the details of the issuer by clicking the View Certificate button shown in the screenshot above.
